Summary: When we arrived, we were greeted not by our host, but by the host of another nearby riad. He showed us our rooms, and that was all - nothing else about the home. After we'd been there for a couple of hours, we noticed a camera (we hadn't been notified of a camera, which is part of VRBOs policy). We turned it around so that it was facing the wall instead of into the living room. The a/c didn't work in one of the bedrooms. The shower was clogged in two of the bathrooms. There was a full ashtray in the kitchen. They offered to provide breakfast for us (for a fee), and then on the first day they didn't even show up with breakfast. And worst of all - the host (whom we did not meet) was staying in a room in the home WITHOUT OUR KNOWLEDGE! He came walking down the stairs into the living room while my son and my daughter's boyfriend were hanging out. They had no idea who he was. That night, he returned to the home at 3am, but we'd locked the door with the deadbolts and he couldn't get in, so he phoned my husband. Then he started banging on the door. VRBO's policy is that the host is not in the home with you. We should not have had to get up at 3am to let in someone who should not have been there in the first place. He had also been there while we were gone, as when we returned from going out our first day, the camera was gone. During breakfast on our last morning (which they did provide), he was burning incense and kept turning on music even though we didn't want to listen to it.
