Positive: The location is great. Near a shop and places to eat. The property was clean and nicely fitted. The kitchen is very well stocked but there was very little space to store our own food. There is a log burner which would be nice in winter. Pictures are accurate.

Negative: We couldn't check in until 30 mins after check in time as the cleaner was there. We were a group of 5 (three adults and two children) and the downstairs social space is just one big room. So I'd say probably good for families but not for people who want a bit of space. Not a negative, just an observation. The wardrobe in one of the bedrooms is now out of order as being used to house the log burner glue so that's a bit inconvenient. They have given an alternative but it's hanging up clothes in a very small space. Also, the listing is actually through Sykes Cottage so when I emailed via Bookings app, there was no reply. If I book through a particular app, I'd rather communicate through that app. When I communicated with the owners through Whatsapp, they were responsive.
