Summary: We booked the apartment because it is near to the sea, not in the hottest area of Morocco, not in a tourism metropolis and the price is quite reasonable (and we got all that). When we contacted the owner Mrs. Diana, received fast forward replies and could ask anything which was really nice. As we arrived in El Jadida with a rented car, we had some problems to find the apartment, because the street doesn't have a name. But with help of some locals (only speaking French), we managed to find it by saying that it is close to the Hamam (pronounced "hemem") Sherifa. It is also close to the mosque Benani. Have a look at the map (from Google), it isn't there where the icon appears, rather 150m south-west. The next real beach isn't only 200m away, but rather 2km (called Sidi Bouzid) and it is a great beach. The "beach" within 200m is very rocky and quite stinky, as much seaweed dries under the sun. The key to the apartment will be given to you by a very friendly concierge, who unfortunately can only speak Moroccan (close to Arabic). You have to call him, which we managed to do with the help of other locals as well, who translated for us. Also a female neigbour inside the Residence Yasmin was very kind and helpful, but could only speak some words in French. The apartment itself is as described and pictured in the advertisement, it's clean and comfortable. When we made a tour around the apartment to see what we need to buy, we saw that there were no little "standards" like salt, kitchen towels, dish soap or a dish brush. The pots were okay, but the pan was in a bad condition. The TV didn't work, but it was fixed within the first week by a technician. Unfortunately the blinds in both bedrooms didn't work, while they did work in the kitchen and living room. One blind in the room to the balcony was half-closed, so you had to watch your head when you wanted to get outside to the balcony. The ad says there are 2 toilets, which is true but the "European" toilet is the only one usable as the other (old French) one doesn't work (which is a good point in our view). In the bathroom the holder of the showerhead is very high, in fact so high, that the hose doesn't even reach that high to the ceiling. Also the tower rack is bent but usable. Concluding the apartment was good and we do recommend it, if the owner is willing to invest some money into some of the interior. Thank you very much! June 2016
