Summary: We arrived by ferry at 6am and were greeted by very friendly night time receptionist who explained the area and provided recommendations.
Managed to get a slightly earlier check in (around 30 minutes early) which was good
The room we had was very basic, there was no storage apart from 2 drawers and a wardrobe, so had to leave stuff around the room which made it messy and cluttered, no bedside drawers either, bathroom also had no storage apart from a window ledge.
no iron provided in the room, asked for one at reception which was provided but no ironing board.
the balcony was not very inviting, no sun coming in and the view was awful, there was also nowhere to dry towels/swimming wear apart from over the chairs
the breakfast was not amazing, there was a variety of food but the hot food was cold and the cold stuff was not fridge temperature (milk for example), there was no coffee machine so could not self serve and there was only black coffee and orange juice on offer which was provided by the very friendly staff
Pool area was very lovely to chill by and had a restaurant which served nice food there is a grassy area under some trees for shade but the grass was not maintained
location of the hotel was not too bad, there are bikes to hire if needed, its around a half an hour walk to Kos old town and a 15 minute walk to the beach, supermarket at end of street (5 minute walk) no pavement on street which made it a little dangerous with cars speeding down the road

Summary: Rooms are good, we were with 4 and 2 separete rooms plenty place in the rooms. Airco works good.
Swimming pool small but compact.
Breakfast …. If u are not there before 9 in the morning u dont have too much choice. If u are there rond 10 in the morning not much choice. Coffee and orange juice in the breakfast needs to be better . Stuff is good and friendly… just the breakfast has to be better.

Summary: A hidden little gem
We were very happy there for a week 4 of us in the double room was great
Breakfast was great
Lovely pool
Rooms cleaned and clean towels every day
They just need a long mirror and a bit more storage especially for 4 ladies lol 😂 loved it would definitely go again

Summary: Our stay at the Smaragdi hotel definitely exceeded our expectations! The hotel was modern and clean and staff were very friendly and happy to help us with any requests (bike and moped rentals, airport transportation, recommendations for a birthday celebration). Definitely very good value for the price! Thank you for having us! We would definitely go back:)
