Once you’ve entered through the large cedar wooden gates, you can leave the excitement of the city behind you. But you may hear the friendly noise of the fountain or the birds in the courtyards. All rooms have doors or windows towards these courtyards.
The house is solidly built and restored with lots of local ornaments, iron work, turned wood, mosaic, marble and the very special tadelakt (limestone) walls and floors. All lamps were handmade, just like the copper hammered sinks in the bathrooms: all custom made by masters in their arts.
