Summary: our tiny studio apartment with kitchenette was perfect for our home base in Crete. We were able to use local buses and did not have to rent a car. we saved a lot of cash by cooking many meals ourselves. Every day we enjoy the beautiful views from the balcony where we ate our meals. Just a short walk to sandy Amoudara beach. restaurants near the waterfront are much more expensive than just a few blocks inland. We were able to hike up into the hills as well as the broad beach areas.
