The airport is also 4.9 Km away (approx 11 minutes drive). The closest supermarket is approximately 1km away, on Korfos Beach, Ornos. Ornos also offers a wide range of restaurants and bars.
The closest beaches are located around Ornos. These are: Korfos beach (mainly for Kite Surfing), Ornos Beach (with great beach lounges, bars and restaurants), Agios Ioannis Beach and the small beautiful Kapari Beach. All other main beaches are accessible via the main Mykonos road (approximately the same distances as from Mykonos Town).
There is no public transport (buses) to get to the apartment. The closest bus stop is located 1km away on Korfos Beach (in front of the supermarket. Car or motorbike rental is required to travel to beaches and to Mykonos Town. There are several car/motorbikes rental shops in Ornos (1Km away from the apartment), which are normally more economical than rental shops in town.
TRANSPORT
CAR & MOTORCYCLE RENTAL
There is a wide choice of car and motorcycle rental shops located around the island and in Ornos, approximately 1km away from the apartment. All rental shops are able either to pick up the guest directly from the airport or from the apartment. At departure they also collect the vehicle and take the guest directly to the airport or to the port, as part of the rental service. The easiest way would be to rent a vehicle from the airport at arrival, to be dropped off at departure. Alternatively, it is possible to organize a private pick up at arrival from any car rental in the island.
There is a Herts Car Rental just in front of the airport.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Public transport in Mykonos is very limited and, during high season, very crowded. There are few bus lines taking tourists from and to Mykonos Town and to the beaches. The closest bus stop to the apartment is located approximately 1km away, in Ornos (in front of the supermarket). These buses take to Mykonos Town or Agio Ioannis Beach. All buses to the beaches and to the Airport depart from Mykonos Town (Fabrika Square or Old Port).
TAXIS
There are numerous taxis waiting in front of the Airport at arrival. If there are no flights arriving, there are no taxis.
The best way to book a Taxi is using the phone application ‘AEGEAN TAXI’ or UBER app.
Alternatively the normal island Taxi Service can be ordered by phone. These may be difficult to find during high season due to high demand and the small number of cars in the island.
There is a Taxi Station located in town, next to the Old Port. There is also a Taxi Station in Ornos, but waiting time could be long during high season.
BOATS AND TAXI BOATS
Boats service to all island beaches depart from Ornos Beach (1km from the apartment). This is a very convenient and enjoyable way to get to the beaches. All other tourist boat trips to Delos, Reinia islands and public or semi private or private snorkeling day trips and beach hopping trips also depart from Ornos Beach or the Old Port(Mykonos Town) or the main Port (Agios Stefanos).
LOCAL SUPERMARKETS
The closest supermarket is located, approximately 1km away (5 mins drive) from the apartment, in front of Korfos Beach (Ornos). There are several other supermarkets around the island.
There is a fresh fishery shop and a meat shop also on Korfos beach next to the supermarket.
APARTMENT
The small private development of 10 apartments has large communal grounds, gardens, swimming pool with sun canopy, seating and two large parking areas. One of the two parking areas is located next to the entrance of the apartment.
The front door of the apartment is through the private front garden and pergola. There is a sun patio with seating and a large external table with seating for 8-10 people under the pergola. Both are very private and not overlooked. From the private garden there is a pedestrian path leading to the communal gardens and to the swimming pool.
The apartment consists of:
1.LIVING ROOM. Glass doors leading to patios, 2 sofas, large seat pillows, internet router.
2.KITCHEN. Kitchen island with storage, washing machine, fridge/freezer, oven/hob, sink and 3 seating stools.
All appliances instructions are left in the first cupboard of the kitchen.
Plates, glasses, cups, cutlery, pans etc. are all in the kitchen cupboards and shelves.
The vacuum cleaner is in the main cupboard in the entrance lobby. Linens and Towels are also provided.
3.BATHROOM. Large washbasin and towels, shelves, WC pan and shower.
4.LOBBY. With cleaner cupboard.
5.BEDROOM. King size bed with storage unde, large wardrobe units with shelves and drawers, large mirror. All bed sheets and bathroom towels are provided.
INTERNET
Cosmote WIFI Internet (57mb speed).

AIR CONDITIONING
There is an air conditioning system in the apartment with 2 internal units (one in the bedroom and one in the living room) and 1 outside condensing unit. PLEASE MAKE SURE THE AC IS SWITCHED OFF WHEN LEAVING THE APARTMENT EVERY DAY.
COFFEE MACHINE
There is a NESPRESSO coffee machine which only works with Nespresso or Nespresso compatible capsules. You can purchase capsules at any of the island supermarkets.
WATER
Water on the island is very scarse. Water throughout the island is provided via water trucks which regularly fill every house water tanks. The development has a large water tank which feeds each of the apartments. Water delivery is twice a week. There should be plenty for showers, cleaning and cooking, but please use with care to avoid waste.
Water around the island is drinkable however as it is normally desalinated sea water rather than fresh water it is better to use bottled water for cooking and drinking.
DRAINS (VERY IMPORTANT)
Drains all around the island are generally old and small. You will notice that every bar, restaurants, hotel ask the guests not to throw and flush paper in the wcs, to include toilet paper, napkins etc.
THE WC DRAINS COULD EASILY GET BLOCKED AND COULD FLOOD THE APARTMENT. A WC dustibin and small bin bags are provided for paper.
In case too much paper is flushed and the drain gets blocked there is an emergency drain engineer who would come to unblock it and normally charges approximately 100 Euros.
WASHING MACHINE
A washing machine is provided in the kitchen island.
WASTE DISPOSAL
There is no home waste collection on the island. Large public waste collectors and bins are provided in specific areas of the island. The closest waste collector and bins to the apartment is in the parking area of Korfos Beach, next to the kite surf centre.
SWIMMING POOL
The swimming pool is large and has desalinated sea water. Automatically filtered, it is also regularly cleaned and maintained twice a week.
PLEASE ONLY USE PLASTIC GLASSES FOR DRINKING AND PLASTIC PLATES IN THE SWIMMING POOL AREA. Glass could break and be dangerous.
